TAN Soo Ngee of Taman Anggerik had his motorcycles stolen not once but three times since 2007.
The 55-year-old marketing executive said he had used his new Honda EX5 for barely a month when the vehicle was stolen from his house in Jalan Anggerik, Johor Baru, at 11.30pm on Jan 9.
"My second motorcycle, also a Honda EX5, was stolen on Dec 2 last year at 8.05pm while I was having dinner at a restaurant in Taman Anggerik."
Tan's first motorcycle, parked outside a karaoke outlet in Taman Impian Emas, was stolen on July 3, 2007.
Tan was at a press conference organised by Johor DAP chairman Dr Boo Cheng Hau, who called on police to step up patrols in his constituency during the Chinese New Year.
Johor Baru North deputy district police chief Supt Mohd Akhir Ishak urged people who were going away for the festive holidays to inform the police so that patrols could be carried out in their area.
