KUALA LUMPUR: An emergency team from Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) brought relief to flash flood victims at Taman Bukit Teratai here.

Flash floods struck the residential area after a heavy downpour in the afternoonon Monday, prompting residents to call the Prolintas helpline, a people-centric service launched recently to engage and foster ties with the public.

A spokesman for Prolintas, the developer of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), said a 15-member team was dispatched to the area to assist the flood victims.

“The emergency team helped transfer items belonging to affected residents and clean their homes as well,” he said. “Affected residents were also provided with dinner after the clean-up,” he said.
