MOTORISTS are finding themselves dodging and bouncing off of huge potholes along Jalan Akuatik 13/64 in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam.
One motorist, Helmee, told Actionline that driving down the pothole-ridden street was becoming tiring.
“This road is one of the busiest in Shah Alam, with a university, shoplots, a supermarket and a shopping mall nearby.
“It is hard enough having to deal with congestion, and these huge potholes are not helping,” he said.
Helmee said the potholes may have also damaged his car’s tyre.
“These potholes have been here for months.
“The city council needs to repair these very dangerous potholes, and quickly.”
A Shah Alam City Council spokesman said it would speed up repair works for the road, which will soon be upgraded from two lanes to four.
“Through the Engineering Department, the city council will carry out patching-up works at the location concerned.
“Jalan Akuatik in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam, will also be expanded to ease traffic flow there,” he said.
He said the public could contact the council at its toll-free line, 1800884477, to forward any inquiries or complaints.
