ART of Speed 2017 is set to enthrall visitors at the end of this month with a thrilling show for custom motor fans.

An inaugural invitational bike build-off would be held at this year’s event, with 10 builders from Malaysia and Singapore vying for the top prize, said founder Asep Ahmad Iskandar.

Speaking at the event launch earlier this week, Asep said the event would also see four local builders show off their build-offs of Boon Siew Honda’s MSX125 and EX5.

A twin-engine Yamaha RXZ commissioned exclusively for the show and built by Beautiful Machines and FNG works will be given away, along with a brand-new CMC XY400 motorcycle as the lucky draw prize.

Aside from this, the 6th annual Art of Speed show at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang on July 29-30 will also see custom machines from Japan on display, including 1949 Ford Custom Shoebox, motorcycles and a drag bike.

A metal shaping and fabrication workshop will be held by Hot Rod legend Cole Foster and the Salinas Boys.

There will also be a meet-and-greet session with Hot Wheel lead designer Jun Imai and the release of a Hot Wheels Limited Edition car.

Other events scheduled include a stunt show by Honda riders from Thailand as well as test rides of Kawasaki motorcycles.

Close to 100 merchants, swap meet vendors, food and beverage kiosks and food trucks will be on site.
