PERUSAHAAN Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua), the country’s largest national carmaker, has opened a RM2 million body and paint (B&P) centre in Kota Baru.
The B&P centre, the company’s 66th nationwide, is owned and operated by Nasrom (M) Sdn Bhd.
“We acknowledge and appreciate the investment by Nasrom as well as their commitment towards the needs of our valued customers,” said Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Dr Zahari Husin in a statement.
He said the company would continue to look into further improving the capacity of existing B&P facilities or establishing new facilities to fulfil the needs of the more than 3.2 million Perodua vehicle owners nationwide.
“In addition to enhancing convenience for our customers, this new facility also symbolises our commitment to grow the local automotive eco-system, especially independent dealers like Nasrom. This is part and parcel of Perodua’s responsibility as a national car company,” said Zahari.
The facility sits on an area of 17,000 sq ft, and it is capable of servicing up
to 1,080 cars annually. The B&P facility is located in Kg Padang
Kala, Kota Baru.
“With this new facility, our customers can be assured of quality workmanship and genuine parts in the repair of their cars. Our authorised personnel will also assist with the claims process,” said Nasrom managing director Abdul Alim Abdul Halim Hassan.
Nasrom was appointed as an authorised Perodua dealer in 1994. The company operates a sales outlet and a 2S (service and spare parts) outlet in Kubang Kerian, Kota Baru.
