KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Elly Mazlein who has been looking pretty perky lately, denied rumours that she had gone under the knife to enhance her bosom buddies.
The 38-year-old songstress of hits such as Usah Ditambah Bara Yang Tersimpan, Janji Kekasih and Bungaku Bakawali, quickly got the matter off her chest after being queried and said that she had never undergone any such procedure.
“It’s all natural OK. I haven’t done any augmentation work for the sake of beauty. Besides, there’s no reason for me to change anything,” she said about her attention-grabbing “assets” in a news report by BH Online.
The Perak-born artiste, whose real name is Sharifah Aida Mazlina Syed Hanafi, added that the actual reason for her busty appearance was because she was still breastfeeding her daughter, Putri Sarah Sefhia.
“I really don’t care if there are still people who are doubtful about what I say and keep on making false allegations. It’s up to them,” said Elly when at the Press conference for the new TV3 reality show, Mentor Otai.
When prodded further on whether she was furious at the fact that Netizens had zeroed in on her physical appearance and named her a sex symbol, Elly just shrugged it off.
“Whatever. Let people say what they want. I’ve been through so many controversies already. You can’t shut people up,” she said.
Mentor Otai, which is hosted by Elly together with Hot FM radio announcer Haziq Husni, will feature seasoned singers Misha Omar, Siti Sarah, Zarul Husin and Tam of Spider as mentors.
