KUALA LUMPUR: There’s no doubt that the 14th general election has attracted many to follow it closely.
And many would agree that the twists and turns we have witnessed since last Wednesday would surely make for a great epic movie that could rival that of Bollywood or Hollywood’s production.
Award-winning director Mamat Khalid said in a news report recently that the political scenario surrounding the GE14 had inspired him to direct a comedy.
“I already have the script for this project, but I fear that it might land me into trouble.
“This film will focus on how thrilled Malaysians are in exercising their rights at the recent polls,” said the 55-year-old Mamat.
The Ipoh-born director who is known for Hantu Kak Limah Balik Kampung in 2010 said that although the new film would be a comedy, it would be laced with positive messages.
