To mark National Day and Malaysia Day, Sunway Lagoon celebrates with activities highlighting our multi-racial culture

LET’S celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage at the We Are Malaysia campaign in Sunway Lagoon.

To mark National Day and Malaysia Day, the campaign — which runs until Sept 30 — plays host to a myriad of traditional culture including a cultural parade at Zulu Walk.

The walk starts at 12.30pm daily with special appearances of performers in traditional costumes and playing musical instruments such as the kombang, cymbal and tabla.

Visitors can entrench themselves in Malaysia’s ethnic roots at the Cultural Walk and take part in free activities such as batik painting and Chinese calligraphy, and even get henna designs.The Cultural Walk is onlyavailable every weekend between 2pmand 4pm. 

There’s more. Relive your childhood at the Surf Beach as a few of the nation’s favourite traditional games are held daily.

You can show off your skill playing batu Seremban, gasing, congkak and sepak raga.There are special merchandise to be given away too!

Feeling hot and thirsty? Why not drop by the F&B outlets including Simba, Zuka, Chill Lah, Take 5 and Oasis, and quench your thirst the Malaysian way – air bungkus ikat tepi! 

“The campaign is an opportunity for local and international visitors to get in touch with Malaysian roots through the fun and exciting activities,” said Sunway Lagoon general manager Sean Choo.

The exciting We Are Malaysia Challenge runs throughout the campaign. Win prizes up to RM11,000, including Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Pyramid Ice Skating tickets.
