PETER RABBIT – LAKE WINDERMERE

Trafalgar’s Castles & Kilts Family Experience holiday will have the whole family taking in the history, mystery and magic of England, Wales and Scotland. They will uncover a land of kings and queens and authors including Beatrix Potter as well as magicians and muggles. They’ll explore Beatrix Potter's birthplace of London and then head north to the Lake District, where Potter had a farm, and who’s enchanting landscapes inspired the tale of Peter Rabbit. Board a steam train and cruise across the tranquil waters of Lake Windermere where scenes for the upcoming Peter Rabbit picture were filmed. In fact, a local toy shop on Compston Road, Ambleside, was adapted to be Mr McGregor’s house.
