KOTA BARU: Kelantan police today released images of 13 people deemed to be the state's most dangerous criminals.

State Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakri Che Sulaiman said nine of them were involved in firearms possessions while three are wanted for murder cases.

The remaining individual is tied to a kidnapping case.

"The 13 are among 800 people in total sought by state police. Out of the number, 264 have been arrested and we are still searching for the rest.

"This 13 are deemed the most dangerous criminals as they were involved in major crimes," he told a press conference here today.

Mohamad Fakri said one of the three who involved in murder investigation was identified as Syukri Mohamad Abiah.

"We believe the man is a hired killer and may have been involved in several other murder cases in Kelantan," he said.

He said police believe the 13 people are still in the country.

Those with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station.
