PENAMPANG: Police are looking for a man in his 20s after a woman claimed her 14-year-old daughter was raped and is now eight months pregnant here.
District police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Haris Ibrahim confirmed a report was lodged by the woman on Tuesday and that investigations are continuing into the case.
Investigations reveal the man was known to the girl and that her had spent some time together at an apartment housing area in November last year.
Reportedly, the girl returned home when the mother came to take her away from the man after three days at the time.
Recently, suspecting something was amiss, the woman did a pregnancy test on her daughter after seeing physical changes on her body and was given a shock when the results were positive.
Haris said so far no arrests were made.
