KUALA LUMPUR: The government has approved 454 applications for the 1Malaysia Maintenance Fund (TP1M) programme.
Deputy Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique said these applications involved 324 low-cost and 130 medium-cost housing projects with a total cost of RM327 million.
Halimah added since 2014, the ministry had received 690 applications under TP1M to conduct repair and maintenance works for low-cost and medium-cost housing projects.
“TP1M has benefited 600,000 residents involving 150,000 units of low-cost and medium-cost houses nationwide,” she told Dewan Negara today.
She said this in a reply to Senator Datuk Yoo Wei How's question, who wanted the ministry to state the number of TP1M applications received so far and the number of applications that had been approved including other details.
