PETALING JAYA: Politicians that used to serve as Cabinet members of the former government will not be accepted into any of the parties within Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the matter was decided by the PH Presidential Council today.

"Our opponent party is facing a migration issue right now. Many of their members are leaving the party, some wants to join PH," Dr Mahathir said at a press conference here, today.

He said that the PH coalition has fixed it that any members from the Opposition party who wishes to join them, they will have to leave their current parties, become an Independent MP or state representative and then declare support for the PH government.

However this does not apply for party leaders who used to be in the Cabinet.

"Maybe in the future we revise (this decision) but that is our decision for now," Dr Mahathir said.
