SHAH ALAM: Continuous heavy rain from last night till this morning saw several districts in Selangor inundated by flood waters.

Smart Selangor Command Centre (SSCC) in a statement said the affected districts include, Petaling, Sepang, Kuala Langat, Klang and Kuala Selangor.

“In Petaling, among the affected areas are Jalan Hamzah; Jalan Paip, Kampung Budiman; Jalan Mat Raji; Kampung Padang Jawa; and Jalan Merbau.

“ In Kuala Selangor flood affected areas such as Kampung Bukit Kuching; Kampung Tengah; Kampung Parit Mahang; Kampung Harmoni, Ijok; Kampung Baru, Sungai Buloh; Jalan Alias 1, Batu 8, Kampung Ijok; Jalan Parit Tengah and Jalan Robinson.

“Sepang (Kampung Cemperai and Kampung Sri Tanjung), Kuala Langat (Jalan Masjid Batu 9; Teluk Panglima Garang; Jalan Rajawali; and Jalan Sukepi) and Klang (Jalan Kenangan and Jalan Benteng) were also inundated,” SSCC said in a statement.

Meanwhile, SSCC said they will continue to monitor and conduct follow-up measures on the floods in the state as well as providing the latest information from time to time.

It is learnt that two flood relief evacuation centres were opened at Surau Nurul Sham, Jalan Merbuk Batu 9, Kebun Bharu in Kuala Langat involving 16 victims, whereas the relief centre at Masjid Attaufiqiyah Desa Coalfields has 27 victims.
