NILAI: Voters here should return their vote to Barisan Nasional (BN), said Negri Sembilan’s Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He said, not much development could be seen in Nilai, which had been won by DAP for two terms since 2008.
“They (DAP) said, they would set up a mobile office but nothing has been done so far.
“I think two terms are enough. It’s time for the people here to return their vote to BN to ensure Nilai’s development which will benefit the people can be continued,” he said in his speech at the launch of Mantin community hall held here, today.
Also present were MCA Youth chief and Deputy Education Minister II Senator Datuk Chong Sin Woon and Ampangan assemblyman and Seremban Umno division head, Datuk Abu Ubaidah Redza.
The hall, which was built on a 0.8ha (8,226 square metre) land involving a total cost of RM2.3 million offers various facilities to the community such as four badminton courts, a stage, meeting room, surau and utilities and store room among others.
The hall which can also be used for community events can accomodate between 1000 to 1500 people at a time.
Mohamad said, building more community hall was one of the state government’s plan to provide better facilities for the public to organise more community events.
“Every ringgit that we have collected from the public must be returned to the society. Building community hall like this is one of testimony.
“Although Nilai is currently not under BN, but this area can’t be excluded from enjoying better facilities and development from the state government. All these are done for the benefit of the people,” he said.
Mohamad also said, the state government was in the final stage of merging the Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) and Nilai Municipal Council (MPN), which would see Seremban district getting its city status next year.
