IPOH: Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) vice-president Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa will defend the Parit Buntar parliament seat while Perak PAN chief Asmuni Awi will defend the Manjoi state seat in the 14th General Election (GE14).
During the candidate announcement ceremony by Asmuni at Perak PAN Wisma here today, he said 16 other candidates would be contesting in four parliamentary and 12 state seats in Perak.
Asmuni also announced that incumbent Kuala Krai member of parliament Dr Mohd Hatta Md Ramli would contest the Lumut parliamentary seat while former Kuala Kangsar by-election candidate, Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli would contest the parliament seat again.
Former editor of Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Tarmizi Mohd Jam will contest the Parit parliamentary seat.
The youngest candidate, Ahmad Saqif Ansorullah Ahmad Jihbadz Mokhlis, 26, who is also the great grandchild of a Pas famous ulama, will be contesting the Selinsing state seat, while PAN Youth treasurer Hasnul Zulkarnain Abdul Munson will contest the Titi Serong state seat.
