PORT DICKSON: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed shock over the "overwhelming" number of outstation voters from the Port Dickson constituency.
Anwar, who is the Pakatan Harapan candidate vying against six other contenders, implored all voters to come home before polling day.
There are more than 11,000 Port Dickson voters living in other states including Johor as as well as Singapore.
"I am shocked to learn about the sheer number of voters living outside Port Dickson.
"There are those working Pasir Gudang, Johor; Singapore, Klang Valley, Senawang, Seremban and Nilai.
"So many of them are living outside Port Dickson. So please help me tell them to come back," Anwar said in a ceramah during one of his campaign trails in Lukut tonight.
The Port Dickson by-election was called after incumbent Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah vacated the seat to make way for Anwar's return to parliament.
Anwar is currently locked in a seven-cornered battle which contenders include former Negri Sembilan menteri besar Tan Sri Isa Samad and the PKR president-elect's former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Polling is on Saturday.
