IN terms of experience and achievements, Nur Izzuddin Rumsani is light years away from Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong but he is prepared for the chance to make a great leap forward.

The 20-year-old said he is ready if the BAM call him up as a replacement to partner V Shem or Wee Kiong if they break up the Olympic men’s doubles silver partnership/

“I accept whatever decision BAM make because they know better,” said the Johor-born shuttler.

BAM want to split up V Shem-Wee Kiong following a string of bad results this year, including their second round exit in the World Championship in Glasgow, last month.

Based on the opinions in social media, many agree Izzuddin or his partner, Goh Sze Fei, is better suited to be paired with either V Shem or Wee Kiong.

“If I am involved in the reshuffling, I think I’m better fitted to be paired with Wee Kiong because I am well adjusted to covering the back (of the court),” said Izzuddin.

“Wee Kiong specialises in the front of the court when he was paired with V Shem,” added Izzuddin, who has been partners with Sze Fei for 18 months.
