KUALA LUMPUR: Bowler Sin Li Jane made up for her disappointment in the Thailand Open on Saturday, when she bagged the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) Tour Thailand leg on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, who finished fourth in the Thailand Open earlier, saw off national teammate and defending champion Sharon Koh 235-203 in the final at the Blu O Rhythm & Bowl in Bangkok.

The title is also Li Jane's first this year, after ending last season with four titles.

En route to the final, Li Jane beat another teammate, Nur Syazwani Sahar, 264-197, while Sharon defeated Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman by just one pin at 231-230.

There was no cheer, however, for the men's squad, as Rafiq Ismail, who only reached the semi-finals, emerged as Malaysia’s best performer.

Rafiq, who lost to teammate Zulmazran Zulkiffli in the final of the Thailand Open on Saturday, lost 200-190 to Guam's Jay Leon Guerrero.

Hong Kong's Michael Mak came out tops in the final after notching a 254-242 win over Guerrero.
